I come from a marketing background and a friend of mine works in the auto industry. With the industry still being in some trouble (even with the Frankfurt Motor Show being this week & next) it’s important for car companies to not forget the need to get their name out there. Well, like blogs, there a loads of cheap channels that companies can use to expand their audience. Econsultancy came out with a good one. Social media. Obviously this has become part and parcel of marketing these days but it’s a great, relatively cheap way of advertising your brand. Or you can do as it appears autotrader have done and sell their homepage to aviva. Check it out it’s actually kind of cool. (Sept 18th)
